On Saturday April 10 and/or Sunday April 11, weather permitting, there will be weed control spraying on the North Putnam High School and North Putnam Middle School campus.
We are looking forward to meeting our new kindergarten students Tuesday, April 6 at our kindergarten round-up. Roachdale Elementary School will be open between 5:30-6:30 in an informal, open house setting, for our incoming kindergarten students and parents to explore the school with our kindergarten teachers, turn in birth certificates and vaccination records, pick up valuable resources, touch a bus, and if not already pre-registered for kindergarten, we would be glad to assist you.

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt this year in the school side yard on Sat. Apr. 3 at 1 pm. Please note that this is a community event and not a school sponsored event. The building will not be open and accessible during this event.

North Putnam Food Service department is providing meal service over spring break. On Tuesday March 23 there will be 3 bus sights @ 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Van Bibber Lake Clubhouse, Heritage Lake Clubhouse and Russellville Community Center. Thursday, Mar. 4 is spring picture day. Pictures must be ordered and paid for in advance. There is no picture retake day.
Yearbook orders were due on Monday, Mar. 1. We will not be ordering extra books this year. If you have not ordered one and you want one, please contact us no later than Friday, Mar. 5.
Since we were unable to show our school spirit last week for homecoming, we would like to join in supporting our North Putnam Chapter of FFA during National FFA week. We will participate this week with the following dress-up days.

More snow fun on 2/1/21.
We had so much fun out in the snow at recess today. If you want your child to go out in the snow, we learned a few helpful tips today.
Send an extra pair of socks to put on after they come inside so they have warm feet.
If students have snow pants to pull over their clothes, they won't be as likely to have wet clothes on later.
We made sure that all had hats, gloves, warm coats, and boots. We prefer snow boots or water proof boots. If your child wears cowboy boots for snow boots, just drop a note to the teacher that you are ok with them going out in them. When we got inside today, students laid gloves out to dry, boots were set outside lockers, and for those who only had their boots to wear, we had students wear their gym shoes so the boots could dry and warm up. I know that we can't do this everyday but I do hope to make it out again tomorrow with the kiddos who want to go out and are prepared.

Friday October 30, students may wear school appropriate Halloween costumes . Students may be asked to remove masks if they interfere with learning, seeing the board clearly. If your child will not be able to stay in the costume all day, please send an extra change of clothes. I hope to post some pictures tomorrow!
