Cougar Nation, let's celebrate Chloee Livingston. Chloee is the daughter of Ryan and Jenna Livingston. After graduation she intends to enroll at Grace College to study elementary education. She would also like to thank her parents, siblings, and family for their love and support. She would also like to thank her FFA advisors for pushing her out of her comfort zone and helping her become the best version of herself. Finally, she wants to thank all of the teachers and staff who impacted and inspired her. We are proud of Chloee and hope to see her in a future NPCSC classroom working with the next leaders! Cougar Nation, let's celebrate Violet Smith. Violet is the daughter of Joney Lewis. Violet plans to continue to work at her current employer Label Shopper, and hopes to later on become a nail technician. Cougar Nation, let's celebrate Matthew Barnett. Matthew is the son of Matthew and Elizabeth Barnett. Matthew is a midyear graduate and plans to enter the workforce and then transfer to an online college. Matthew would like to thank his friends and family for their continual support. Cougar Nation, let's celebrate Kaydence Simmerman. Kaydence is the daughter of Dustin Simmerman and Katherine Parker. Kaydence is a midyear graduate and plans to continue working at Bonnets and Bears Childcare. Eventually she would like to return to Ivy Tech to complete early childcare courses to become a preschool teacher. Kaydence would like to thank her parents for loving her and teaching her. Kaydence is going to be a wonderful early childhood educator, and we are excited to see her continue to grow in this field. NPHS is excited to celebrate the future plans of its Class of 2024. Cougar Nation, let's celebrate Randi Carpenter. Randi is the daughter of Kevin and Carolyn Carpenter, and Stephanie Carpenter and Terry Dowers. Randi graduated in December and plans to work to save money for college to start at Ivy Tech in the fall. She would like to thank all of the teachers and staff at NPHS! Cougar Nation, let's celebrate Callee Riggle. Callee is the daughter of Aaron and Nikki Riggle. After graduation she intends to enroll at Saint-Mary's-of-the-Woods to study elementary education. She will also be continuing her track and field career at SMWC. She would also like to thank her mom and dad for raising me to be the strong woman she is today. She wants to thank her little sister and brother for being her best friends. She also wants to thank all of her family for believing in her and supporting her. She wants to thank everyone at NP for their support and dedication to her and her education. Finally she would like thank her coaches that helped her get to where she is today. We are proud of Callee and excited to see her in a future classroom leading the next generation of leaders, hopefully back here within NPCSC! No school Monday as we recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

North Putnam students, in the first semester of 2023-2024, earned 744 Dual Credits from Ivy Tech Community College. These 744 awarded credits represent a potential savings of over $126,000 to our families. To put this into perspective, during the entire 2022-2023 school year, NPHS students earned 663.5 credits. These numbers are from our partnership with Ivy Tech. NP students also have the opportunity to earn dual credits from Indiana University, Vincennes University, and through Advanced Placement coursework. Our students have great opportunities to earn dual credits and credentials through our various programs. We look forward to continued growth in this area and more students earning the Indiana College Core, College Credentials, and Industry Certifications. #CougarNation #LeadingtheWay

As our students, faculty, and staff leave NPHS for the last time in 2023, weeks would like to share with you the 2023 Holiday Card. This year's card was created by NPHS sophomore Camryn Riggle. Camryn is the daughter of Aaron and Nikki Riggle of Roachdale. Camryn designed this card in Mr. Brooks' Digital Design class.

Earlier this week our Band and Choir held their winter concert. Our kids and directors did such a good job. They performed in front of a packed house!

Good Morning, Bus 10 (Denis Gray) does not have a driver this morning., December 8, 2023. We will send a bus back around after 7:50 a.m. If you are able to make other arrangements to bring your student to school that would be helpful. We welcome our local veterans and community members into North Putnam Middle/High School for our annual Veteran's Day Ceremony. This year it will be on Friday, November 10th at 10:30 AM.

Our Spell Bowl team competed in the Area Contest at Cascade last night. Though we lost 3 of our spellers to illness and 1 to other circumstances. the 5 who competed spelled 33 of 45 words correctly. The following students scored Near Perfect rounds at the Area Contest at Cascade on Monday evening- Aaron Miles, Keaton O'Mullane, Maelyn Gibbs. That means they correctly spelled 8 of 9 words correctly. Also competing last night and performing well were Adam Grajewski and Shelby Merrill. Please congratulate these students for our 2nd place Area finish in Class 3.
